Arrival in the Sacred Valley

Welcome to Cusco! Upon arrival, transfer to your hotel in the Sacred Valley where you can settle in and enjoy the beautiful surroundings and wellness amenities on the property.

This evening, gather with the group for a welcome dinner at Pukawi Gourmet Restaurant, marking the beginning of your journey through Peru.

Day2

Sacred Valley Culture & Ancient Traditions

After breakfast, depart for a day immersed in the culture, history, and landscapes of the Sacred Valley. Begin with a visit to Moray, an impressive archaeological site featuring circular agricultural terraces believed to have been used by the Incas for farming experimentation.

Continue to the salt mines near Maras, a striking collection of thousands of salt pools that have been used since colonial times. From there, visit Ollantaytambo, an ancient Inca fortress set within the heart of the Sacred Valley.

The day concludes in Chinchero, believed to be the mythical birthplace of the rainbow. Explore the town’s colonial church and browse the famous Pisac Market, where local artisans sell woven textiles, alpaca goods, ceramics, jewelry, and traditional Andean handicrafts.
Return to the hotel in the evening with time to relax and unwind.

Day3

Into the Inca Trail

This morning, journey through the Sacred Valley to Piscacucho, the starting point of your luxury Inca Trail experience. Upon arrival, meet the porters who will accompany the group throughout the trek and assist with equipment along the way.

Begin hiking alongside the Urubamba River toward the small village of Miskay, surrounded by spectacular mountain scenery and views of Mount Veronica. Continue to the archaeological site of Llactapata, an ancient Inca agricultural center overlooking the valley below.

From here, leave the Urubamba Valley behind and continue into the Huayllabamba Valley, where tonight’s campsite awaits among the remains of an ancient Inca settlement.

Into the Inca Trail
Day4

Mountain Passes & Cloud Forests

After breakfast, continue your ascent along the Inca Trail toward Llulluchapampa, passing through beautiful highland forests and dramatic mountain scenery.

Reach Warmiwañusca Pass at 13,829 feet, the highest point of the trek, where panoramic views stretch across the Andean highlands. From here, descend stone pathways into the lush cloud forest below, home to native birds and unique mountain flora.

Arrive in Pacaymayo in the evening and settle into camp surrounded by the peaceful beauty of the Andes.

Day5

Ancient Trails & Andean Landscapes

Today’s trek reveals some of the most breathtaking scenery along the Inca Trail. Begin the ascent toward Runkurakay Pass, taking in sweeping views of the surrounding valleys and distant mountains.

Continue along beautifully preserved sections of the Inca Trail lined with orchids, ferns, and bromeliads as you make your way toward the ruins of Sayacmarca. This region is rich in wildlife and offers incredible opportunities to experience the biodiversity of the Andes.

Later, arrive at Phuyupatamarca, where the campsite overlooks the dramatic Urubamba and Vilcanota mountain ranges. Spend the evening relaxing and reflecting on the journey so far.

Day6

Sun Gate Arrival & Machu Picchu

This morning begins with a spectacular sunrise over the Andes from the campsite near Phuyupatamarca. Surrounded by sweeping mountain views, continue descending toward the archaeological site of Intipata before arriving at Wiñay Wayna, one of the most impressive sites along the Inca Trail.

Follow the final stretch of trail through lush tropical vegetation to Intipunku, the Sun Gate, where the first breathtaking views of Machu Picchu come into sight. From here, descend into the legendary Inca citadel and experience one of the world’s most awe-inspiring archaeological wonders.

After exploring Machu Picchu, transfer to Aguas Calientes to board the train back to Cusco.

Day7

Exploring Cusco & Farewell Celebration

After breakfast, discover the rich history and culture of Cusco, the former capital of the Inca Empire. Begin at the city’s historic main square, once known as Huacaypata, or Warriors Square, before visiting Cusco Cathedral, an architectural masterpiece built with stones from the nearby Inca fortress of Sacsayhuamán.

Continue to Koricancha Temple and the Convent of Santo Domingo, constructed atop the most important Inca temple dedicated to the sun. As you wander through Cusco’s narrow streets, experience the unique blend of Inca and colonial heritage that defines the city today.

Later, visit Manos de la Comunidad, where you’ll meet llamas, alpacas, and vicuñas while learning about traditional weaving techniques and the importance of these animals in Andean culture.

This evening, gather for a special farewell dinner created by renowned Peruvian chef Jorge Luis Ossio, celebrating the unforgettable experiences shared throughout the journey.

Departure from Cusco

After breakfast, enjoy free time to explore Cusco at your own pace. Browse local markets, relax at a café, or take in the charm of the city one final time before your departure.
